
Encompassing the essence of the blues while embracing modern roots influences, Reckless and Blue is an award-winning five-piece blues band that has been a fixture of the Colorado music scene since 2018.
The band released its debut album, Can't Give Me the Blues, on December 15, 2021, showcasing an original and contemporary approach to blues music. Their sophomore release, Seven Deadly Gins, debuted on December 21, 2025, earning the #1 position on the Colorado Album Chart and national blues chart recognition.
In 2025, Reckless and Blue won the Colorado Blues Society Blues Challenge and went on to represent Colorado at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Following their appearance at IBC, the band completed a successful United Kingdom tour, including sold-out performances at Muse Performance Space in Lafayette, Colorado, and the Ventnor Arts Club on the Isle of Wight.
Known for energetic live performances, strong musicianship, and a blend of original music and blues classics, Reckless and Blue continues to build audiences throughout Colorado and beyond, bringing an authentic and engaging blues experience to festivals, concert series, theaters, clubs, and community events.

Reckless and Blue has been busy in the studio recording their second album which is scheduled for release on December 21, 2025.

school, he studied classical guitar at Metropolitan State College in Denver and began performing with cover and original bands throughout Colorado during the 1980s. During this time, he developed his skills as a songwriter and recording artist while performing with the band Reckless Abandon.
In 1987, George left Colorado and spent the next three decades living in California, Arizona, and Florida, where he continued writing, recording, and performing music. Upon returning to Colorado in 2017, he set out to build a new project that would combine his lifelong passion for blues music with a group of experienced musicians. The result was Reckless and Blue.
In addition to leading Reckless and Blue as vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader, George serves as President of the Mile High Blues Society and hosts a weekly blues radio program, helping promote and preserve blues music throughout Colorado and the broader blues community.

Though she spent years as a professional entertainer in other fields, her singing career didn't begin until she turned 50. This late start has only fueled her passion; she pours her heart and soul into every performance.
For almost two years, she has been a powerful part of Reckless, singing a mix of classic and modern blues and loving every minute of it.

Steve Gaskin has been playing drums and percussion since 1973 mostly around the Denver, Colorado area. Steve’s experience includes concerts, club dates, supper clubs, showcase events, television, corporate events, weddings, festivals, commercial jingles, album projects, musicals, and educational presentations.
His musical styles include jazz, blues, rock, pop, folk, lounge, world music, big band, church worship, and orchestral. Some of the artists Steve has worked with include Reckless and Blue, Billy Sprague, James Van Buren, Billy Tolles, Joe Keel, Parameters, Barry Shapiro, Marguerite Juenemann, Kellis Etheridge, Hazel Miller, Zebra Junction, Red Feather Band, Rob Mullins, many more.

Bassist Tom Dillard brings a deep-rooted passion for the blues to Reckless and Blue. The blues have been in his heart since childhood, and since 2020, he's been channeling that passion through the deep, resonant voice of the bass. After meeting the band members at blues jams in the Denver area, Tom's talents led him to join Reckless and Blue as a permanent member. Now, he is an integral part of the band's sound, both in live performances and in the studio where they are completing their second album.

Allen started classical piano lessons at 11, and studied music composition, piano performance, and jazz the University of Texas in Austin. He played in numerous soul, jazz and funk bands while in college including the 2 o’clock and one o’clock bands and toured with a Chicano show band for a year immediately after. He then moved to Hoboken and played at CBGB’s with 2 bands; Bansai Kik and the Uptown Atomics, while playing solo gigs for society events. Martha Stewart featured him playing solo piano in her Weddings book. When his two children were school age, he moved to South Jersey and played with Lena Luke Blues band and continued solo piano jobs including a one year residency at Sotto Varallis as house pianist. He has recently retired from a hotel management career and is currently residing in the Denver area and working on blues and classical projects.
